Deosai – Pakistan
Deosai National Park – located in the valley of Skardu, Astore District-Gilgit-Baltistan province, in northern Pakistan. The National park is located on the Deosai Plains of the Kashmir region. The word Deosai means the “Land of Giants”
The beauty in the Spring season is cover with colorful wildflowers and variety of butterflies.

Deosai Lake also known as Sheosar Lake from the Shina language (local language here) meaning “Blind lake” located in the park. Deosai lake, at an elevation of 4,142 meters , is one of the highest lakes in the world. It is located near the beautiful Chilim Valley on the Deosai Plains.

Wildlife in the Deosai National Park was build in 1993 to protect the survival of the Himalayan Brown Bear, Pakistan’s largest omnivore, and its habitat. Himalayan Ibex, Red Fox, Golden Marmot, Gray Wolf, the Ladakh Urial, the Snow Leopard, are also found and living here. Birds in the Deasai park include the Golden Eagle, Lammergeier, Griffon Vulture, Laggar Falcon, Peregrine Falcon, Kestrel, Sparrowhawk and Snowcock and some other migrant birds too.
