The 2012 Summer Olympic Games will be held in London from 27 July to 12 August 2012, followed by the 2012 Paralympic Games from 29 August to 9 September. Previously London hosted the Olympic Games in 1908 and 1948. It is expected that around 205 nations to take part in 300 events at the Olympic Games in 2012. Some 147 nations will take part in the Paralympic Games.

The 2012 Games Park near Stratford is appealing new travelers to the area. The upgraded Greenway cycle and walking path gives a perfect viewing point for the park while the site remains closed to the public. The Olympics Games start with the Opening Ceremony at the Olympic Stadium in London on the evening of Friday 27 July. It then continues until Sunday 12 August.
