Kaieteur Falls – Guyana

Kaieteur Falls – located in the Kaieteur National Park, Potaro River in central Guyana, Potaro-Siparuni region. It is 226 meters in height when measured from its drop over a stonework and firm cliff to the first break. It is probably one of the most powerful and spectacular waterfalls in the world. Kaieteur Falls is around three times higher than the more well-known Niagara Falls. According to the World Waterfall Database the Kaieteur Falls is a single drop waterfall, whom is the 123rd tallest in the world and lists it as 19th largest waterfall in terms of volume. And according to some approximation it is the 26th most scenic waterfall in the world. Its difference lies in the unique mixture of great height and large volume is close to 663 cubic meters per second (23,400 cubic feet per second).
