Start Point Lighthouse – Located in Devon, England. It was built in 1836 to protect shipping of Start Point. James Walker designed Start Point. It is open for visitors in summers. The start Point Lighthouse is equipped with the latest technology. At the top of a snow-white granite towers equipped with powerful lenses, fog horn works, and bright flashing lights visible for miles ahead. The site was leveled and a new retaining wall constructed and a free standing fog signal stack put in place after the collapse of building in 1989. Work inaugurated on the automation of Start Point Lighthouse in August 1992.
