Faroe Islands (Faroese Føroyar) – 18 islands in the middle of the North Atlantic Ocean. The Islands are an independent island region of Denmark. It has a population of almost 50,000. It is located nearly 5 kms from the Atlantic Ocean. The scenery is dominated by sheer mountains and there are about 70,000 sheep and about 2 million pairs of seabirds, which includes the largest colony of storm petrels in the world. The Faroe Islands are definitely one of the beautiful containing green fields, rugged and wind-swept. The main attraction of the Faroe Islands is its incredible nature and scenery. The fresh air (atmosphere), deep blue ocean, the upright sea cliffs and the green mountains with their attractive valleys, is something which would surprise anyone who enjoys being enclosed by nature. Best time to visit Faroe Islands is between early July and late August. Certainly, one of the best region to visit.
