The Bridge of the Americas (Thatcher Ferry Bridge) – A road bridge located in Panama. The bridge was constructed between 1959 and 1962. The Bridge crosses the Pacific approach to the Panama Canal at Balboa in Panama City. The Bridge of the Americas is 5,007 foot long arch bridge and soaring 384 feet above the ocean at average tide and connects both North and South America. It also serves as an important part of the Inter American Highway. The bridge of the Americans is cherished for its beauty as well as its utility.
