Awa’awapuhi Trail Kauai – Found in Koke`e State Park, Kauai, Hawaii. A trial winds through highland forests with infrequent ridge top views. Awa’awapuhi Trail starts at a parking area near the highway 17 mile marker. The Na Pali-Kona Forest The trail ends shortly on the ridge top, at 2,500 ft. elevation, offering remarkable views down sheer palis (cliffs) into Awaawapuhi and Nualolo Valleys overlooking the Pacific Ocean. The choice to connect to the Nualolo trail should be taken only by those ready for a hike over 9 miles long (one-way) without any facilitation.The green grassy area at the end of the trail gives an superb place to picnic.
