Dal Lake located in Srinagar, in Indian Jammu and Kashmir. The Lake is the 2nd largest Lake in India. The urban lakes are important to tourism and recreation in Kashmir and is nicknamed as the “Jewel in the crown of Kashmir“. It is about five kilometers long and about two kilometers wide. The famous Moghal Gardens is located on its northern and eastern coast. The backwaters of Dal Lake is occupied with a very wide variety of life in these areas. There are also two rare landmark near the Hari Parbat Fort in Kohimaran with Ziyarth Sheikh Sultan Arifeen and Shankaracharya Hill, a Shiva Temple on top in visit.The Dal Lake lies between two hills. Try to see the Lake through a shikara trip, which is quiet, there are many shops on the boat you will come across. Some said Kashmir was the “Switzerland of Asia“. This is a great place, worth visiting Kashmir and visit the floating market and it is an experience in itself.
