The Sing-Sings Festival held in Papua New Guinea. It is attended by the tribes from all over the country. Each tribe comes up with its own unique style of fashion, music and dance, creating an incredible spectacle of colors and sounds. A young girl and father get ready for the festival with special fancy clothes, jewellery and feathers. The participants also paint their faces Yellow, white and red to symbolize birds, trees or mountain spirits.
The Sing Sing festival was first started in 1957 in Goroko. The Goroka Cultural Show is still held every year, Over 100 tribes come from around the country. This year the Goroka Show will held from 14-16 September.
