To Sua Ocean Trench is a natural swimming pool that is a beautiful and refreshing site of recreation for its visitors. The natural reservoir of water is located in the village of Lotofaga on the south coast of Upolo island. The formation of the island Upolo was the result of massive basaltic shield volcano. This island is one of the most populated islands of Samoa with an area of 1,125 km2 (434 sq mi) and a population of 135,000.
There is a nominal fee for visiting this natural pond. The fee for adults is $15 and $6 for children. To Sua Ocean Trench is open all week from 7 am to 6 pm. The Gigantic swimming pool is 30 km deep and is accessible through a giant ladder. This place is near Fagaoneone beach and lava field. The Fagaonone beach is called so because of the white sand it contains. The lava tube is also an interesting place to visit.
