Carlo lll dedicated this Palazzo to his wife Isabella D’Adda. The island is also named after her. The construction lingered for several decades. The construction of gardens was completed in 1671.
Today you can reach this resplendent Island through a ferry service that operates from four different points including Stresa, Laveno, Pallanza and Intra. Isola Bella is a popular tourist spot. The grace of the palace and beauty of the gardens is appreciable. Every room is immaculate and furnished elegantly. However photography is prohibited in the palace.
