Fjaðrárgljúfur Canyon – Iceland

Fjaðrárgljúfur Canyon – A canyon located in south east Iceland, not distant from the village of Kirkjubæjarklaustur. It is up to 100 meters deep and around 2 kilometers long. Fjaðrá River flows through this canyon. Fjaðrárgljúfur canyon was generated by progressive erosion of the flowing water from glaciers through the rocks and palagonite over millennia. The beautiful thing of this great Canyon is that it has many beautiful landscapes that attract many visitors from all across the world.
